Pictures and contents from this thread have been moved to Directron.com:

http://www.directron.com/gallery.html

This thread is reserved for case mods done by Directron.com. We had our 1st contest for customer case mods. If you don't work for Directron.com, you are strongly encouraged to enter pictures in our 2nd contest for customer case mods, which also serves as a gallery of case mod images.

If you do not want to enter a contest but would like to display your case mod then feel free to post in our new General Gallery, which is the 4th gallery on this forum. Please remember to observe the picture dimension (width) limitations.

The purpose of this official Directron.com gallery is to show off additional pictures of a modified case so that a customer can get a better idea on how our products may look like once modified. A typical example is a windowed case with various lights. You may want to see how the case look like under various lights before purchasing them. Since pictures on our store pages are limited, this gallery meets the needs.

If you want to see a picture of some modded arrangement of our products, you may leave a request here. If it is doable and relatively simple, we may do it and show the pictures here for you (although not guaranteed).

As a starter, here is a picture of a black Lian Li PC-12 case with a round window, two Neon lights (one green and one blue), and two bayBUS controllers. (Used w/ permission from the original owner of this picture).

Again, this gallery is for Directron.com cases only.

Pretty soon I will be posting my mod here also.
The case is the VTech (in green) which is kinda small, therefor my cables are bunched up and I dont think i'm going to put a window in. However, there is lighting in the front green bezel and many, many extra fans. All the wires have tubing around them, and it looks really cool. I've used every pci/isa slot and every drive bay (5 1/4 and 3 1/2) My floppy drive (just about the only messy thing) had to be taped into the inside b/c there wasnt room for it in its proper place razz . The Athlon 800 inside will soon be oc'd to a 1200 (my maximizer is in the mail). There are 2 unique things in my case: 1. There is a HSF on the power supply. 2. There are christmas lights in the front bezel. I hope to get my digital camera back from the shop soon so I can share my case with all of you big grin

  • k7 800 @ 1200
  • 256ecc sdram
  • 80gigs raid
  • dual monitors

For the fun of it...

Here is a picture of a black hydraulic case with a rectangular window, five side blow holes, and five fans. Don't ask why so many side fans. We just want to show that it works! More pictures with Neon lights will be available soon.

I might be wrong, but a case with a window and no computer inside I wouldn't classify as "modded".

Jeff, this section is titled as "modified CASES and systems." Our intention is to show some mods that we're doing so that customers can see a picture of a modded product before ordering one. We'll accumulate the pictures with time. I'm sure that we'll post more modded systems soon. Every one is welcome to contribute your own mod pictures. Thanks!
