The modem I ordered didnt work out of the box. I had to use my old modem to download an updated patch so it worked. Other then that everything was great! Thanks. |

My experience with Directron went very well until after I placed my first order. The Directron FAQs state that a confirmation e-mail should be received within twenty seconds of placing an order. My confirmation e-mail took over five hours to be received. The FAQs also say to send an e-mail message if a confirmation is not received promptly. I followed these instructions, and the e-mail I sent concerning my unreceived order confirmation was ignorned as I never received a response to it.I received an e-mail stating that my order had been shipped, but it took longer than it should have to receive my tracking numbers. Because my order was over a thousand dollars, I wanted to have a good idea of when it would be delivered so that I could make sure to be home. I called Directron to inquire about a delivery date. The person that answered located my order and even said in a surprised tone that my order was large, but he could not help me and transfered me to the wherehouse where I was put on hold for a long time. The height of my frustration occured when I received my order and unpacked it. Several boxes for products I had not ordered were enclosed. I was stunned when the first box I pulled out was for an AMD motherboard when I had ordered a Pentium. Because the box for my motherboard was poorly marked, it took me a while to figure out that I actually had been shipped the correct motherboard. Additionaly, there were two boxes for CD-ROM drives, and one was for a CD-ROM drive that was different from the one I ordered. Appearantly these extra boxes were used a packing material. The original boxes for many of the components, such as hard drives, I ordered were not enclosed, and I do not understand why they could not have been enclosed instead of boxes for products I did not order. Unfortunately, my experience with Directron has not been as positive as I would like it to have been, and I will hesitate to place future orders. This company is excellant. I need an item, rather fast, and they contacted the Manufacturer and had it shipped to me over night. Many companies just get your money and then you wait for their wholesaler. I have an account with two of the largest wholesalers in the US, however they did not offer the same service as Directron.com. Thanks Folks |

My credit card was charged prior to this merchant having the merchandise. I was notified that it would be late however. Also it took me over an hour on the phone trying to get a hold of someone who could let me know the staus of my order. I generally do not have time for this kind of run around. |
